Where are the courses held?
Our training courses take place at Evacusafe UK. The venue is ideally situated at Junction 6 of the M3 motorway while Basingstoke's main line railway station is just a 5 minute drive away.
The next available courses take place on 17, 22 and 30 March 2011.
- Coffee and registration is at 09.00am.
- Courses start at 09.30am and end at 12.30pm.
DSE / VDU Train the Trainer
Overview:
This training course will provide delegates with the ability to complete a thorough assessment of a workstation and to understand and promote its safe use.
Subjects covered include:
- Basic legislation
- Posture
- Demonstration
- Documentation and the assessment process.
Who should attend:
Those whose job involves DSE responsibility.
Duration:
Three hours.
Workstations can then be assessed for poor posture, incorrect seat positioning, bad ergonomic setup and general environment. Once assessed corrective actions are suggested and can then be put into action straight away.
A comprehensive checklist is provided which is very useful for new starters, if you employ temporary staff or if you have staff returning to work after a period of absence, like maternity / paternity leave or long-term sickness.

Manual Handling Training
Overview:
This training course will provide delegates with a comprehensive insight into the legislation along with best practice manual handling procedures and techniques.
Subjects covered include:
- An introduction to the legislation and why it is in place
- Information on the hazards and risks involved in manual handling
- Correct handling techniques and common mistakes
- Manual handling risk assessment
- Practical instruction and good lifting practices.
Who should attend:
Its aimed primarily at those whose jobs involve moving equipment manually within an office environment and is designed to assist in the reduction of sickness, lower health care costs, insurance premiums, compensation claims and to increase productivity.
The workshop also provides an opportunity to discuss the participants own work and practice generic movements under supervision.
Duration:
Two hours.
